What we offer.
Made in Rio is a media and community platform covering Rio de Janeiro's technology and AI ecosystem, including editorial content, events (such as AI Salon Rio), the Opportunity Radar, and related materials. We also offer paid placements — featured opportunities, jobs, products, and events. Content is provided for informational purposes only.
Using the site.
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt to disrupt it, copy or scrape its content without permission, or use it to harm others. We may suspend access if these terms are violated.
Paid listings and payments.
You may purchase paid placements such as featured opportunities, jobs, products, or events. Prices, formats, and what each placement includes are described at the point of purchase. Payment is due in full before a placement goes live, and you're responsible for the accuracy of the content you submit. We may decline or remove any placement that violates these terms or applicable law.
Refunds.
You may request a full refund at any time before your purchased item has been featured (that is, before it goes live on the site). Once a placement has been published, the service is considered delivered and the purchase is non-refundable. This is consistent with your right to cancel online purchases within 7 days under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor, which applies up until the service is rendered. Intellectual property.
All content on this site — text, logos, branding, the Made in Rio name, and curated materials — belongs to Made in Rio Labs LTDA or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not reproduce or distribute it without our prior written permission. By submitting content for a paid placement, you grant us permission to publish and display it on our platform.
AI and automated use.
You are welcome to reference, quote, and surface our content through AI tools, search systems, and other automated services — provided you give clear and visible attribution to Made in Rio (madeinrio.tech) at the point where the content appears. This permission is conditional on that attribution: using our content without crediting us, or removing or obscuring attribution, voids it. Using our content to train or develop AI or machine learning systems requires our prior written consent. We reserve all rights not expressly granted here.
Third-party links and opportunities.
The Opportunity Radar and other sections may link to third-party programs, grants, or websites. We curate these in good faith but don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, deadlines, or outcomes. Always confirm details directly with the source.
No guarantees.
The site is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for decisions made based on information found here, to the extent permitted by law.
